about me
As an accomplished interiors stylist, writer, author, creative consultant, trend forecaster, crafter, teacher and all-round homes obsessive, it’s safe to say I know how to make a space look gorgeous.
And I love helping others with this, too, whether that’s creating it for you or teaching you how to achieve this for yourself through my books, articles or workshops. But what really sets me apart is that I don’t just care about how a space looks - it’s how it makes those who live or work in it FEEL that fires me up. By taking into account the underlying psychology and neuroscience of how certain colours, shapes and materials can benefit our wellbeing, as well as championing design that ‘does good’, we can create campaigns, events or homes that resonate.

MY LATEST BOOK
I’m delighted to announce I’ve been commissioned to write and product the official Interior Design Masters book, in collaboration with the BBC1 TV show of the same name.
Conveying the spirit and essence of the show while also working as a standalone interiors bible, this book contains plenty to please both ardent fans of the series and curious passers-by keen to pick up some design tips.
Featuring gorgeous illustrations from the show’s many sets (created especially by the talented Charlotte Orr), it talks in depth about the whole design process, and is liberally peppered with quotes, tips and how-to projects from the design contestants across all four series, along with insights from the guest judges and, of course, its brilliant Head Judge, Michelle Ogundehin.
Published by Quadrille, it’s available for pre-order now and will be shipping imminently!

recent WEBINAR
Got an idea for a lifestyle book but no idea how to make it happen? Mystified by the whole publishing process?
I’ve teamed up for a second time with 91 Magazine’s Creative Sessions to host a live, interactive workshop which delves into the entire process, from honing your pitch to how to get it under the right noses, alongside explaining the practical steps it takes to take a book from concept to finished tome. This one-hour talk features expert tips and insights from commissioning editors, publishers and recent first-time authors sharing their own experiences, alongside a resources list on who to contact at the top lifestyle publishing houses.
Purchasing a replay will give you lifetime access to the live recording alongside answers to some of the questions raised during the session, plus an exclusive PDF to download containing all the key talking points and clickable links to find out more. As a four-times published author who’s worked with three different publishing houses, I’ve loved sharing my insights and advising others on how to enter this fascinating and rewarding world.
